At present, a large number of games and simulations, is on the market. However, by their nature educational games generally focus on relatively small, specific, target groups. In general, the size of the target group decreases with the realism of the application.

To our opinion, the didactical quality of most of the present games and simulations is poor. Often, clear didactical goals are lacking.

 

Furthermore, applications enhanced with didactical functionality to support the learning process are rare. The use of these low quality games and simulations may lead to unproductive trial and error learning behavior.

 

We assist teachers, trainers and institutions to find high quality games and simulations, that meet the required didactical needs. We search the market for applications that may be useful to them. We evaluate and test these applications against a set of  objective didactical criteria. In this way powerful new educational tools will be selected
